Structuring work around teams has become a fact of organizational life. A key challenge for any member of a team is the ability to effectively work within the team context. The purpose of this course is to provide the opportunity for students to get hands-on experience working in a highly interdependent team setting, learn about team leadership, and be involved in all aspects of team formation, development, and performance. This will be accomplished by having MGT840 students assemble a team composed of MGT460 students and then lead them through a series of tasks using a high fidelity, networked command and control computer simulation in the Team Effectiveness Teaching Laboratory.
